Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis on Pavement Failure Restoration; Case Study of Sorong–Makbon Road

چکیده
The Sorong–MakbonSorong–Makbon Corridor is one of the key routes connecting Sorong to other sections West Papua region in Indonesia. Throughout Sorong–Makbon Corridor, roads and slopes often sustain damage. When landslides reach road shoulder destroy pavement, they prevent access road. In addition influence surface water runoff, there are indications that earthquakes contribute ineffectiveness previous design. This seems be accurate since author has seen typical movement avalanches. Using Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA) approach, earthquake’s effects on this corridor were mapped out. With use Indonesian earthquake data library, Matlab-Zmap Program, Spectrum Response, history was analysed determine their velocity. analysis reveals an acceleration value between 1.2 1.5 G. prior design did not account for a quake magnitude. study, correctly identified seismic impact could sent back into simulation more adequately repair restore

Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment of Tehran Based on Arias Intensity
A probabilistic seismic hazard assessment in terms of Arias intensity is presented for the city of Tehran. Tehran is the capital and the most populated city of Iran. From economical, political and social points of view, Tehran is the most significant city of Iran. Many destructive earthquakes happened in Iran in the last centuries. Historical references indicate that the old city of Rey and the...

Foreword The purpose of the Delta Risk Management Strategy (DRMS) Initial Technical Framework (ITF) is to guide the analysis of specific technical topics as they relate to assessing potential risks to Delta levees and assets resulting from various potential impacts (e.g., floods, earthquakes, subsidence, and climate change). These ITFs are considered " starting points " for the work that is to ...
متن کاملA Short Note on Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis
Although probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) is the most widely used method to assess seismic hazard and risk for various aspects of public and financial policy, it contains a mathematical error in the formulations. This mathematical error results in difficulties in understanding and application of PSHA. A new approach is presented in this paper. Seismic hazards derived from the new ap...
متن کاملProbabilistic earthquake hazard Analysis with considering Risk-Based concept (Case study of olefin 14)
Background and objective: numerous seismic hazard analysis studies are conducted annually using probabilistic methods throughout the world and Iran, which are usually different from the initial assumptions of analysis or software used. On the other hand, many researches are presented every year about new methods of earthquake hazard zoning, but so far these studies have not computed earthquake ...
